The Role
This fast-paced first opinion clinic is looking for a second full-time RVN to support its growing caseload. The practice sees a wide variety of medical and surgical cases, and with a Senior Vet who has a strong interest in surgery, this role offers excellent clinical exposure and development opportunities.
You’ll work closely with a highly supportive team and play a key role in all aspects of practice life, including theatre, consultations, inpatient care, stock control and mentoring trainee nurses.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional nursing care across all areas of the practice
Assist veterinary surgeons during consultations and surgical procedures
Monitor anaesthesia and maintain accurate patient records
Provide inpatient care, admissions and discharges
Run nurse consultations and preventative healthcare clinics
Manage stock levels of drugs, consumables and diets
Maintain and sterilise surgical equipment
Support the induction and development of new team members
Mentor trainee veterinary nurses
Assist with reception and client communication when required
Working Pattern
Full-time position
4-day working week (Mondays off)
1 in 4 branch Saturdays
1 in 10 Saturday rotation at a nearby 24-hour hospital
1 bank holiday per year
No on-call duties
