Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive building safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct safety drills.
- Manage and maintain safety documentation, including inspection reports and incident records.
- Collaborate with building management, maintenance teams, and contractors to ensure safety standards are met.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on safety practices and emergency procedures.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and legislative changes related to building safety.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in building safety management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Certification in building safety or occupational health and safety is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to handle physical demands of inspections and emergency situations.
- Availability for on-call duties in case of emergencies.
