Job Description

Veterinary Surgeon – Burnley

  • Independent, purpose-built small animal practice with modern diagnostic and surgical facilities
  • Varied caseload offering clinical freedom and sole charge responsibilities
  • Supportive, experienced team with strong emphasis on mentorship and career development
  • Flexible 4-day week, competitive salary up to £65,000 DOE, and visa sponsorship available
  • Comprehensive benefits including funded CPD, professional fees, private medical insurance, and generous leave

Step into a busy, truly independent first opinion small animal practice located in a beautifully renovated Grade II listed building in the heart of Burnley. Purpose-built with modern facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, dental suite, and two fully equipped theatres, this practice offers an ideal environment to develop your clinical skills and take real ownership of your cases.

Work alongside a small, close-knit team who are passionate about client care, clinical freedom, and growing together. With full support from experienced RVNs and a senior vet who is a qualified VetGDP Advisor, you’ll be encouraged to shape the role and help steer the continued growth of the practice.

Enjoy a varied caseload and the opportunity to follow cases through from consult to discharge, all within a collaborative and supportive working culture.

This is a small but ambitious team who take pride in their work and support one another. Whether you're an experienced vet or a recent graduate, you’ll be given the time, tools, and trust to develop and grow in a way that suits your interests and career goals.

Clinical freedom is actively encouraged, and client relationships are at the heart of the practice’s ethos. If you enjoy autonomy, continuity of care, and working in a truly supportive environment, this could be your perfect next move.

Based in Burnley, the practice offers the perfect balance of countryside access, community feel, and great transport links to the wider North West.
