Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Care

Morecambe

Monday to Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm

£36,000 – £38,000 per annum (depending on qualifications)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded provider of therapeutic residential care services for children and young people. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or a Senior Support Worker looking to take the next step in their career.

About the Role:

As Deputy Manager, you’ll support the Registered Manager in overseeing daily operations, guiding staff, and ensuring the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted and safeguarding requirements.

You’ll play a key role in delivering individualised care plans, mentoring staff, and creating a nurturing environment where young people feel safe, respected, and empowered.

This is a Monday to Friday role (9am – 5pm) with no regular weekend or shift work, offering a healthy work/life balance.

Essential Criteria:

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a residential children’s care setting (within the last 5 years)

· Minimum 1 year in a supervisory/management role

· Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Level 5 desirable

· In-depth knowledge of Ofsted standards, children’s legislation & safeguarding protocols

· Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

· Full UK driving licence

· A genuine interest in outdoor activities (relevant experience or qualifications desirable)

· Must be 21+ and have full right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
