Job Title: Local Service Manager
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Local Service Manager to lead a homelessness support service in Bury St Edmunds.

This service plays a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey to independent living, offering personalised housing and support to help them regain stability, confidence, and control of their lives.

The Role:

As Local Service Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the overall delivery and performance of the service. This includes managing a dedicated team, overseeing budgets, building strong partnerships with local agencies, and ensuring high standards of support and compliance.

As Local Service Manager, you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day running of the service. You'll lead and support a dedicated team, ensure high-quality service delivery, and build strong relationships with external partners to make a lasting difference in the lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall delivery and performance of the service
  • Lead, support, and develop a team of staff
  • Oversee budgets, financial performance, and resource management
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with local agencies and stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on service outcomes, working to achieve KPIs
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment for both staff and residents

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in a management role within a similar setting (supported housing, homelessness, or social care)
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • A compassionate and hands-on approach to support delivery
  • Ability to work in a person-centred, outcomes-focused way
  • Full, valid UK driving licence (essential due to travel requirements
