Job Description

We are working with a Built Environment consultancy who are seeking an experienced Senior Façade Engineer to lead and support façade design and remediation projects, particularly in high-rise residential developments. You will collaborate closely with fire engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient façade solutions.

Responsibilities for the Facade Engineer:

• Lead façade design and remediation work on high-rise residential recladding projects

• Liaise with fire engineers to integrate fire safety principles into façade strategies

• Conduct site inspections and façade condition assessments

• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and tender documentation

• Ensure compliance with relevant UK Building Regulations and standards (e.g. Approved Document B, BS 8414, etc.)

• Provide technical input at design team and client meetings

• Support junior staff and contribute to team development

Requirements for the Facade Engineer

• Degree-qualified in Façade Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related discipline

• Proven experience in façade design and recladding of high-rise residential buildings

• Strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and fire safety standards

• Experience working alongside fire engineers and integrating fire strategy into façade design

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting with occasional travel to London

• Chartered or working toward chartership (CEng, MIFireE, or similar) is desirable
