Job Title: Team Leader

Location: Shard End, B34

Job Type: Permanent

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join our newly opened 3-bed children's home in Shard End. Currently, the home accommodates one 8-year-old child who requires 2:1 support due to very challenging behaviors. The other two rooms are presently bed-blocked.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of care staff to ensure high standards of care and support for the child.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the team and external professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
- Provide direct support and intervention for the child, promoting their well-being and development.
- Manage staff rotas, conduct supervisions, and facilitate training sessions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive home atmosphere, encouraging the child’s social, emotional, and educational growth.
- Liaise with families, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive care planning.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a children’s residential setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with patience and resilience.
- Relevant qualifications in child care or social work (Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent preferred).
