Night Veterinary Surgeon - Cardiff
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established independent practice in the heart of Cardiff. With a focus on exceptional patient care and a commitment to professional excellence, this forward thinking practice offers the perfect balance between autonomy, support, and work-life harmony.
The clinic is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including three spacious consulting rooms, two modern theatres, advanced digital and dental x-ray equipment, and full Idexx laboratory capabilities. There are also separate, purpose built cat and dog wards to ensure patient comfort and reduce stress. As a night vet, you will have access to everything you need to deliver the very best in emergency and critical care while maintaining a calm and supportive environment.
Ideal for someone with at least two years of UK experience, the successful candidate will be confident working sole charge and thrive in a role that blends independence with collaboration. Strong communication skills, clinical confidence, and a compassionate nature are essential, alongside a valid RCVS membership and a degree in Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent). Experience with laboratory diagnostics is a plus, as is a genuine enthusiasm for improving outcomes for both pets and their owners.
This night rota offers an excellent work-life balance, giving you plenty of time to enjoy everything Cardiff has to offer—from the bustling cultural scene and thriving food markets to the picturesque coastline and nearby Brecon Beacons. With a welcoming local community and great transport links, Cardiff is a fantastic place to live, work, and explore.
This is a fantastic chance to join a supportive, forward-thinking independent team that values both its staff and the care it provides. Don’t miss the opportunity to take the next exciting step in your veterinary career!
