Job Title: Care Home Manager
Location: Crosby, Merseyside
Salary: £60,000- £65,000
I am seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dynamic Care Home Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our historic residential and dementia care home in Crosby. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about providing high-quality care in a warm, respectful, and supportive environment for elderly residents. As the Care Home Manager, you will ensure the smooth running of the home while maintaining a person-centered approach to care, ensuring that the dignity, comfort, and wellbeing of all residents are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the overall operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and regulations.
- Oversee a team of dedicated carers and staff, providing training, supervision, and support to ensure excellent care delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and external professionals.
- Ensure the care home is a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for all residents, particularly those living with dementia.
- Maintain accurate care records, budgets, and reports, ensuring all administrative duties are carried out efficiently.
- Promote a person-centered approach in care planning, involving residents and their families in decisions about their care and treatment.
- Manage recruitment, staff performance, and ensure effective team communication.
- Keep up-to-date with developments in the care sector and implement best practices and new initiatives.
Skills required:
Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or in a senior management role within a care home setting.
- A strong understanding of dementia care and residential care requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards.
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- A compassionate and empathetic nature with a focus on person-centered care.
- Sound financial management and budgeting skills.
