Location: Cannock, UK

Salary: £31,140 per annum plus £50 per sleep-in

Job Type: Permanent

Home Type: EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) 2-bed home

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years

Qualifications Required: Level 3/4 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent

Job Description:

Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Registered Children's Home Manager to join our team at a 2-bed EBD home located in Cannock. The successful candidate will assist in managing the home and ensuring the highest quality of care and support for the children and young people residing with us.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Registered Manager in the daily running of the children’s home.
- Support and lead the staff team in providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for the children.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Support in managing the home’s budget and resources effectively.
- Participate in the on-call rota and undertake sleep-ins as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
- Foster positive relationships with external agencies, families, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of the children is promoted at all times.
- Support staff development through supervision, training, and mentoring.

Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a children’s residential setting.
- Level 3/4 qualification in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to children’s residential care.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
- Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
- Full UK driving license (desirable).
