Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ABI Care Home Manager to lead our specialized care home in Bournemouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the care home, ensuring the highest standards of care for residents with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), neuro-disabilities, and physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Provide strong leadership and support to the care team, promoting a positive and inclusive working environment.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements where necessary.
- Manage the recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
- Maintain effective communication with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals.
- Ensure the care home is a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
- Manage the care home budget, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency.
- Keep up to date with best practices and developments in the field of ABI and neuro-disability care.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing a care home or similar healthcare setting, with a focus on ABI, neuro-disabilities, and physical disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including CQC standards.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the individual needs of residents.
- Financial management skills, with experience in budgeting and resource allocation.
- A relevant healthcare qualification, such as a Registered Manager Award, NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
