Job Description

Registered Veterinary Nurse – Glasgow

• Modern, fully-equipped small animal hospital in the vibrant city of Glasgow
• State-of-the-art facilities including in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, and an impressive array of orthopaedic equipment
• Full time, temporary role: 37.5 hours per week
• Flexible working options available
• Superb salary up to £31,000

A wonderful opportunity has arisen to work somewhere a little bit special. Our client is a unique and compassionate organisation that delivers expert veterinary care to people across the UK who might otherwise struggle to afford treatment for their beloved pets. What they do truly matters, and they’re looking for someone who shares their dedication and values.

They are seeking a qualified and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who is ready for a challenge and thrives on the variety that comes with a busy, dynamic caseload. Based in the vibrant city of Glasgow, the hospital is a modern, fully equipped facility featuring separate dog and cat kennelling, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, and an impressive array of orthopaedic equipment. You’ll be part of a team with diverse clinical interests, which means you’ll have constant access to a wealth of knowledge, support and collaborative thinking.

The size and experience of the team allow for a flexible approach to weekend and out-of-hours work. Any additional hours are recognised with enhanced pay and dedicated stand-down time during the week, supporting a positive work-life balance. This is an organisation that values outcomes over targets, with a strong emphasis on empathy, pragmatism and client care. Their impact is measured by the difference they make—not by numbers.

They’re looking for someone who communicates confidently with clients and colleagues alike, and who is happy to lead by example. You’ll be involved in a wide range of responsibilities including consultations, inpatient care, medication dispensing and assisting in theatre—this includes the opportunity to carry out schedule 3 procedures.

The nature of the role is fast-paced and engaging, so your wellbeing and preferred work-life balance are important too. If flexibility is what you need, don’t hesitate to ask—options are available to suit different needs.
This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to be part of something meaningful. The team is deeply committed to creating a workplace where people feel connected to their purpose and supported in making a real difference. That commitment hasn’t gone unnoticed—they’ve been named one of the top 25 big organisations to work for in the UK by Best Companies.

If you feel inspired by this role and would like to learn more, we’d love to hear from you.
