Veterinary Surgeon – North Dorset
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a proudly independent practice in North Dorset. Run by vets who work within the practice, they prioritise exceptional patient care, strong community ties, and a supportive, close-knit team environment. Whether you're looking for a full-time role with a four day workweek or a flexible part-time position, this role offers the autonomy to pursue your clinical interests while being supported by 12 experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high quality veterinary care with compassion and expertise, working collaboratively with a supportive team to ensure the well-being of patients. The practice is proudly independent, meaning you’ll have full clinical freedom and the chance to make a real impact. The shared 1 in 12 on call rota (partnered with a neighbouring practice) is fully supported by dedicated OOH nurses, ensuring a manageable workload while still offering valuable hands on experience.
This forward thinking practice offers not just a great working environment but also a positive team spirit, with regular bike rides, walks, and yoga sessions to encourage work-life balance. They also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including monetary enhancements, private medical care, an Employee Assistance Programme, and excellent career development opportunities through a dedicated Leadership Group.
Located in the stunning North Dorset countryside, the practice is surrounded by rolling hills, charming market towns, and easy access to the Jurassic Coast, offering the perfect balance of rural beauty and vibrant local culture. If you’re an experienced small animal vet looking for genuine support, professional growth, and an independent practice that truly values its team, this is the role for you!
