Job Description

Registered Veterinary Nurse – Bristol

• Independent, purpose-built, modern veterinary practice in the heart of historic Bristol
• A bright, spacious, and modern surgery, equipped with cutting-edge technology and designed to support exceptional clinical outcomes
• Full time role with some evening, weekend and nurse care night shifts included on a rota basis
• Excellent salary up to £31,500
• Generous benefits package including a profit share bonus scheme and long service recognition

Join a purpose-built, modern veterinary practice in the heart of historic Bristol, where outstanding facilities and a passionate team come together to offer the very best in animal care. Our client is the largest independent, family-owned veterinary group, dedicated to delivering exceptional clinical standards and making a positive difference in the local communities they serve. Their mission is simple: to help pets live long, happy, and healthy lives with the families who love them.

They are currently seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to become a part of their fantastic nursing team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic RVN to step into a varied, fulfilling role within a busy, supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be a true team player, ready to roll up their sleeves and get involved in every aspect of practice life. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work efficiently and with compassion under pressure.

You’ll be joining a practice that truly values professional growth and offers brilliant opportunities for learning and development. They want someone who is as passionate about developing their skills as they are about delivering outstanding care to patients and clients alike.

The role itself is dynamic and fast-paced, with a wide range of responsibilities that demand excellent time management, organisational ability, and a can-do attitude. You’ll be expected to lead by example, showing kindness, empathy and confidence every step of the way. Flexibility is key, with some evening, weekend and nurse care night shifts included on a rota basis. Occasional cover at nearby surgeries may also be required. When scheduled for nurse care nights, accommodation is provided onsite to ensure your comfort and convenience.

This is a physically demanding role and will involve being on your feet for most of the day, but you’ll be working in a bright, spacious, and modern surgery, equipped with cutting-edge technology and designed to support exceptional clinical outcomes. It’s also a place where team wellbeing matters, where pets are calm, and where clients feel reassured by the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

If this sounds like the perfect next step in your veterinary nursing career, we would love to hear from you and tell you more about this exciting opportunity.

The Package:

• Generous salary of up to £31,500
• 40 hour week with 1:4 weekends, Saturday & Sunday. Shift times will vary from 8am to 8:30pm and duty nights will be on rotation
• Profit share bonus scheme
• Long service recognition
• Income protection
• Enhanced maternity pay
• 20 days of holiday excluding bank holidays
• Compassionate leave
• Discounts
• Overseas charity work
• CPD allowance
• Help at Hand health and wellbeing support
