We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Team Leader to become part of an experienced and friendly team in the vibrant market town of Bury, Greater Manchester. Nestled just north of Manchester, Bury offers a perfect blend of rural charm and city convenience. You'll find yourself within easy reach of the stunning Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, while the cultural and social buzz of Manchester is just 10 miles away. Excellent transport links mean that Liverpool, Leeds, and beyond are all easily accessible, and Manchester Airport is less than an hour's drive—perfect for those last-minute getaways.
In this role, you will take the lead in setting and maintaining clinical nursing standards across the practice, ensuring they are implemented effectively and consistently. You’ll play a key part in supporting and mentoring nursing staff while actively working within a clinical capacity, always aligning with practice standards, protocols, and the guidelines of the Veterinary Surgeons Act. As Nurse Team Leader, you will be at the forefront of managing and guiding our talented nursing team in all aspects of their roles.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week, including some out-of-hours duties and a 1 in 6 weekend rota. Our practice is a modern, spacious environment equipped with cutting-edge technology including an in-house lab, ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, and acupuncture facilities.
You will be joining a fantastic team that includes RVNs, Night Nurses, SVNs, and ACAs—each contributing to a warm, supportive workplace culture. We are looking for someone with solid veterinary nursing experience and strong leadership skills, who can communicate confidently and clearly with team members and clients alike. The ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines, and maintain meticulous attention to detail is essential to succeed in this role.
