A well-established and highly respected medical practice in Crawley is seeking an experienced and compassionate Practice Nurse to join their dynamic and friendly team. As a Practice Nurse, the successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of essential healthcare services and contribute to the continued success of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in line with best practice guidelines.

  • Undertaking routine health checks, including blood pressure monitoring, ECGs, cholesterol tests, and diabetes management.

  • Administering vaccinations, immunizations, and seasonal flu jabs.

  • Managing chronic disease conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, and hypertension, and offering advice and support to patients.

  • Assisting in minor illness and injury management, providing wound care, and supporting emergency care where required.

  • Providing advice on health promotion, lifestyle changes, and preventative care, empowering patients to manage their own health.

  • Working collaboratively with GPs, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records are maintained in accordance with practice protocols and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with valid NMC registration.

  • Experience in a primary care or general practice setting is highly desirable but not essential.

  • Sound knowledge of current nursing practices, including immunization schedules, chronic disease management, and minor illness care.

  • A genuine passion for patient care and a proactive approach to health promotion.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong rapport with patients and colleagues.

  • Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritize tasks effectively, and work autonomously as well as part of a team.

  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the practice and its patients.
