• Salary up to €52,000 - commensurate with experience 
• 4 day work week - 8:30am-6pm shifts
• 1:4 Saturdays
• Only 1:8 shared on-call rota - shared with a neighbouring clinic

Job Description:

The practice is looking for a confident and passionate Veterinary Surgeon with experience working sole charge. The role includes clinical consultations, general soft tissue surgeries (incl. routine procedures) and diagnostics. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate has great communication and organizational skills as well as a commitment to high standards of patient/client care, and a desire to improve in their own field of interest.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations and diagnostics on small animals.
- Perform surgical procedures and dental work.
- Administer vaccinations and medications.
- Provide emergency care and treatment.
- Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive care, and overall health management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Collaborate with other veterinary staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in Ireland.
- Proven experience in small animal veterinary practice.
- Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate approach towards animals and their owners.
