About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Children’s Home Manager to lead a residential care home for children and young people. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment, enabling young people to thrive and reach their full potential.
Located in Poulton-le-Fylde, a charming historic market town in Lancashire, the home offers a welcoming and supportive setting within easy reach of Blackpool.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the children’s home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and wellbeing
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of support staff, including social workers, carers, and administrative personnel
• Develop and implement tailored care plans to meet the unique needs of each child and young person
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and provide regular reports to senior management
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment, promoting personal development and growth for young residents
• Collaborate with families, social workers, and external agencies to support the care and progress of the children

Requirements:
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a managerial role within a children’s residential care setting
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team
• In-depth knowledge of child safeguarding and relevant legislation
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
• A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people
