Job Title: Mixed Veterinary Surgeon

Location: Monaghan, Ireland

Job Overview:

• Only 1:5 on call

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join a brilliant and friendly team in Monaghan. The ideal candidate will have experience in both small and large animal care, demonstrating proficiency in diagnostics, treatment, and surgical procedures as well as compassion and willingness to support the team. The practice has 4 Large Animal Vets and would ideally look for someone who can primarily help expanding the Small animal side.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive veterinary care for both small and large animals.
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Conduct surgical procedures and provide post-operative care.
• Offer preventative care advice and develop treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff.
• Participate in an on-call rota for emergency care.
• TB testing when on-call as well as emergencies

Requirements:

• Veterinary degree and full registration with the Veterinary Council of Ireland.
• Experience in both small and large animal practice.
• Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
