Are you an experienced Head Veterinary Nurse looking for a new challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand new, state-of-the-art small animal practice located in the heart of Dublin. Our client is searching for a dedicated and skilled Head Veterinary Nurse to lead their nursing team and take charge of the daily clinical operations within a modern, purpose-built facility.

The practice itself is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, a fully operational theatre, and thoughtfully designed separate wards for dogs and cats, reflecting a strong commitment to patient welfare.

The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience from a senior veterinary nursing position, with confidence in overseeing a team and ensuring the smooth running of a clinical environment. You’ll need a background that includes experience in endoscopy, laparoscopy, and dentistry, along with excellent communication and organisational skills. A calm, confident approach to mentoring and supporting junior nurses is essential, as is the ability to maintain the highest standards of care.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the nursing team, coordinating clinical workflow, and supporting vets in all aspects of patient care. Your day-to-day responsibilities will also include managing accurate patient records, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring a consistent and compassionate level of care for all patients.
