Veterinary Nurse - Port Glasgow
Salary:
£12,000 – £17,000 per year (part-time)
Location: Greenock, Scotland
Hours: Part-time, weekend shifts (average of 18 hours per week – flexible)

The Role:
 This role is ideally suited to someone looking to work part-time weekends while contributing to a close-knit and skilled clinical team. The practice provides a high standard of first opinion care to a loyal client base and encourages a collaborative approach to both medical and surgical cases.

Duties will be rotated and include inpatient care, surgical and theatre assistance, stock control, lab work, and isolation care. The team fosters professional development, with additional qualifications supported and encouraged.


Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent care for post-operative and medical inpatients

  • Assist in surgical and theatre preparation and procedures

  • Maintain and manage pharmacy stock and orders

  • Conduct lab work including haematology and biochemistry

  • Care for isolation patients following practice protocols

  • Work collaboratively with the team to support the smooth running of the weekend rota


Skills & Experience:

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

  • Team player with a positive, proactive approach

  • Comfortable working independently during quieter periods

  • Eager to learn and develop professionally

  • Previous experience in a busy clinical setting is an advantage but not essential
