Veterinary Surgeon - Livingston • Independent practice situated in Livingston, West Lothian • Well facilitated practice with up-to-date-technology including a class 4 laser, DR x-ray system, Dental x-ray, referral level ultrasound, diamthermy, suction, multi-parameter, full in-house lab and much more • No on call • Experienced team of veterinary practitioners including 3 vets who are currently studying for certificate in ophthalmology and medicine We have a wonderful opportunity here at Purovets for a Veterinary Surgeon role at an independent practice in the town of Livingston in West Lothian. Livingston was designated as a town in 1962 and retains much of its charm, with independent shops and restaurants. Situated only 15 miles west of Edinburgh and 30 miles east of Glasgow this is an ideal location for someone who has to commute. The practice was established in 1981, the first veterinary clinic to open up in the area and has been providing expert animal care ever since. Our client has since taken over a further 2 surgeries in the area and has built up an excellent reputation and a very loyal client base. They are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join the team on a full time basis. You will be mainly based at the practice in Livingston although you will be required to cover the 2 other practices on a rota basis. The practice is very modern and well equipped with up-to-date technology including a class 4 laser, DR x-ray system, Dental x-ray, referral level ultrasound, diamthermy, suction, multi-parameter, full in-house lab with biochem/haem/coags/lactate/urinalysis, o2 generators and a basic orthopaedic kit. You will be joining a welcoming and supportive team of veterinary staff including 3 vets who are currently working towards certificates (1 ophthalmology and 2 in medicine), a wonderful team of RVN’s, a welcoming reception team, a full time employed veterinary physiotherapist and an in-house clinical behaviourist referral service. The ideal candidate will have been qualified for at least 2 years and will be competent in routine surgeries. You will ideally have experience working sole charge however, the practice can accommodate someone who doesn’t have experience working sole charge.
