Veterinary Surgeon - Pontefract • Veterinary Surgeon role in the historical town of Pontefract • Well-equipped practice with 3 consult rooms, 2 theatres, a digital x-ray, ultrasound and an in-house laboratory • Accommodation allowance • 100% attendance bonus schemes • Vehicle allowance or company vehicle An excellent opportunity has come our way for a Veterinary Surgeon role in the historical town of Pontefract. Famous for its cakes, castle and confectionary, Pontefract is the gateway to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Once an industrial heartland, the region has now been transformed and boasts excellent facilities for sport, music, culture and outdoor activities. Our client is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and enthusiastic team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, RVN’s and PCA’s. You will be joining a well-equipped practice which boasts 3 consult rooms and 2 surgical theatres as well as a digital X-ray, ultrasound and in house lab equipment with up to date analysers and external lab support and services. There are also plans in place for a possible refurbishment in the foreseeable future which will improve the layout and aid the high standard of clinical care the practice delivers. Veterinary Surgeons are at the frontline of delivering exceptional care and play an integral part of customer relations. Key accountabilities of the role include ensuring all team members provide quality and ethical care to all clients and their pets, assess, examine and diagnose patients’ medical issues, perform surgery, dress and treat wounds, perform diagnostic laboratory, imaging and ultrasound testing where required, prescribe medication, euthanise patients and ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies and procedures.
