Veterinary Surgeon – Preston

We have a fabulous opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to work at an independent practice based in the vibrant city of Preston. Built on its rich history and famous for its Guild celebrations every 20 years, Preston is a lively place to live and the people are very friendly. Our client is easily accessed via the M6 and has Manchester city centre, the Fylde coast beaches and the Lake District all within 45 minutes travel distance.
Our client has been established in the area for over 40 years and has built up an excellent reputation within that period. Their aim is to provide the highest standard of Veterinary care and to meet client’s expectations with a cheerful, caring and friendly demeanour. They are looking for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join their existing 3 vet team where every staff member is highly valued. You will enjoy being at work and feel that you have a good work life balance. You will work in a fun but professional team environment.
The practice is fully equipped with all the usual equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound scanning, cryotherapy, in house lab (haematology, biochemistry, CRP and digital urinalysis). You will have an opportunity to perform or learn laparoscopic spays. Our client is proud to now perform over 95% of their spays laparoscopically.
For more experienced vets you will have the opportunity to utilise all your skills and share them with your fellow colleagues. You will also be supported in developing your veterinary skills whether it be surgical or medical. You will be able to offer the gold standard of care to your clients and their pets and go the extra mile to provide outstanding service. You will have a varied caseload of con-sults and surgery. If you are a new graduate you will be offered a nurturing environment where you will be supported and developed, and you will never feel alone.
The Rota:
• Full time or part time role (full time role is 4 days per week)
• Opening hours are Monday – Friday: 8am – 7pm and Saturday 8.30am – 12pm
• Saturday morning rota 1:4
• No OOH
