Are you an experienced audit and accounts professional looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a leading accountancy firm, is seeking a skilled Audit and Accounts Senior to join their dynamic London office. Position: Audit and Accounts Senior
Location: London
Hours: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Leadership: Manage and lead audit assignments, from initial planning through to completion, overseeing teams on larger audits.
  • Financial Reporting: Process audit journals and prepare statutory accounts in compliance with FRS102 and other relevant standards.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare corporation tax returns, including detailed capital allowances computations.
  • Mentorship: Assist in training and mentoring junior staff, offering guidance and feedback to support their professional growth.
  • Client Relations: Liaise directly with clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Handle special accounting assignments, such as cash flow forecasts and due diligence reports, as needed.

About You:

  • Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified with substantial audit experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Technical Knowledge: Up-to-date expertise in auditing, accounting standards, and relevant company law. Strong corporation tax knowledge is essential; familiarity with VAT and payroll taxes is a plus.
  • Client-Focused: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well within a team, with strong leadership skills to guide audit teams.
  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Sharp analytical skills with attention to detail, capable of lateral thinking to solve complex problems.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Excel, with experience in CCH, Pro-audit, and Mercia audit methodology being advantageous.
  • Career Ambition: A proactive approach with the desire to progress and develop within the firm.
