Are you an experienced audit and accounts professional looking to advance your career? We are seeking an Audit and Accounts Senior to join our client's London office, working with a diverse client base at London Waterloo ?
About the Role
- Position: Audit and Accounts Senior
- Location: London
- Hours: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Manage audit assignments, including planning and completion, and lead teams on larger audits
- Process audit journals and prepare statutory accounts in accordance with FRS102 and FRS standards
- Prepare corporation tax returns, including capital allowances computations
- Assist in training junior staff and providing feedback
- Handle occasional ad hoc accounting assignments and bespoke tasks like cashflow forecasts or due diligence reports
- Liaise directly with clients to build and maintain strong relationships
About You
- ACA/ACCA qualified with previous audit experience in an accountancy practice
- Up-to-date knowledge of auditing and accounting standards, and relevant company law
- Strong tax knowledge, particularly in corporation tax; knowledge of VAT and payroll taxes is advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong client liaison skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Analytical skills with attention to detail and lateral thinking to identify and solve problems
- Initiative, judgement, and ownership of issues from start to finish
- Experience working with a wide range of clients, including FCA-regulated clients
- Proficient in using Excel; knowledge of CCH, Pro-audit, and Mercia audit methodology is beneficial
- Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
