Job Description

Within this established upmarket construction company this “hands-on” commercial Finance Manager role will involve all aspects of financial and management accounting, including budgets and forecasts, cash flow, project profitability/work in progress, credit control and ledgers control, stock value, deferred income, FX treasury control including

• support the production and project management teams with information to enable accurate estimating and provide relevant reports regarding profitability of client contracts.
• oversee the accurate and complete posting of transactions including preparation of monthly payroll.
• produce timely management reports to enable comparison of monthly performance to budgets and prior years.
• prepare annual budgets and cash flow forecasts and report against both monthly.
• co-ordinate year-end financial reporting.
• ensure all matters of compliance, corporate governance, risk and treasury management are given appropriate priority.
• be an excellent communicator with an ability to make a solid contribution to the senior management team as well as to the commercial success of the business.

You are ACA/ACCA /CIMA or QBE qualified with a strong commercial approach, looking for a “stand-alone” Finance Manager position within a £4-5 million turnover company as part of the senior management team. Office based 4 days a week, you will live locally to Walton on Thames, or in the Surrey area. Experience within construction, fire and security, electrical installation  or similar project based industries useful but not essential.
