Job Description

Perrott Partners Recruitment is working on behalf of this respected Top 50, 16 partner firm with high staff retention, the main job purpose is to work within the Audit Team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of audit, accounting and taxation services.
The technical split being, 50% Accounts vs 40% audit vs 10% CT Tax but this % can be changed to suit the candidate

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the more complicated audits and accounts assignments; be responsible for support team to ensure delivery within agreed timetable
  • Manage workload to ensure all tasks are completed according to deadlines and within agreed budgets
  • Liaise with clients to ensure that information is received in timely manner to prepare accounts and/or complete audit
  • Prepare and manage budgets and costs
  • Identify opportunities for additional work/cross selling
  • Develop support team by on the job training, directing and supervising their work
  • Help to identify opportunities for additional work/cross selling
  • Able to carry out ad-hoc assignments with assistance
  • Book "Misc" days to provide time to catch up on completion matters
  • Follow firm's methodology and apply professional ethics and standards
  • Help to identify opportunities for additional work to up-sell and cross sell services to clients in conjunction with Manager/Partner
  • Begin to develop own professional network for marketing and introducing new clients
  • Contribute to team and firm initiatives
  • Act with honesty, fairness and integrity in all dealings with clients, contacts and colleagues whilst respecting confidentiality and building trust

Technical, Training and Skill Levels

  • ACA qualified/part qualified
  • Good technical skills with little supervision
  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct and practice
  • Effective use of business tools
  • Organise and manage time efficiently and effectively
  • Confident communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and committed to undertaking tasks; seeing tasks through to completion and/or handover
  • Build relationships with peers internally and externally
