Job Summary: The Audit Senior will conduct audit and accounts assignments as assigned by the Audit Manager. The Senior will be involved in all aspects of the assignments, from planning to preparing a finalized file for manager or partner/director review.
Main Responsibilities & Duties:
- Plan the assignment, including updating the permanent file and briefing the team.
- Prepare audit assignment papers and budgets.
- Draft financial statements for review.
- Ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of jobs.
- Complete audit programs and coordinate with clients for assignment timing and stock-takes.
- Attend stock-takes.
- Prepare Corporation Tax computations.
- Control assignments, ensuring sections are within the agreed budget, and report any potential budget exceedances promptly.
- Delegate detailed work to Semi Seniors or Juniors, review their work, and provide task appraisals for performance feedback.
- Submit a comprehensive assignment file to the Audit Manager.
- Draft accounts packages and Management Letter points.
- Address review points, implement adjustments to the accounts, and maintain up-to-date time records on a daily basis.
- Stay current with technical knowledge.
- Research and analyze financial statement and audit-related issues.
- Stay informed about client affairs and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Contribute to the firms practice development.
- Fulfill any other tasks reasonably required for the smooth running of the job and the practice.
