The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Outsourcing Manager who will oversee a diverse portfolio of SME general practice clients and take full responsibility for their outsourcing needs. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fee development, maintain client relationships, and actively participate in networking and business development events/functions.
Responsibilities:
As an Outsourcing Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your portfolio effectively, including staff planning, WIP management, and billing
- Developing and nurturing client relationships, both with existing and new clients
- Demonstrating strong commercial awareness in fee development
- Preparing and reviewing files, working papers, and checklists
- Maintaining proactive awareness of current relevant legislation and compliance standards
- Generating high-quality business correspondence
- Serving as the main point of contact for client queries within your portfolio
- Quoting and estimating fees within your authority
- Meeting with clients to pitch and tender for new work and preparing associated documents
Demonstrating a good understanding of cloud-based accounting techniques and systems
Team Collaboration:
- You will be responsible for effectively delegating work to the team and providing mentorship.
Your role will also involve:
- Offering constructive feedback to junior and senior team members on the quality of work and performance
- Managing the team, including monitoring work in progress and maintaining work standards
Personal Skills:
- Confident, articulate, and an effective communicator at all levels
- Prior experience in an accountancy practice is essential
- Professional and well-presented
- Patient and effective in training colleagues
Experience:
- Strong knowledge of VAT
- Exceptional time management skills
- Previous management experience
- A commercial and proactive approach to client development
