Position: Personal Tax Senior

Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance and Advisory: Prepare and review personal tax returns for a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Offer tax planning advice to clients, optimizing their tax positions while considering individual circumstances.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact for all tax-related matters. Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide clear and concise explanations of complex tax concepts.
- Tax Research and Analysis: Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation, rules, and regulations. Conduct research to identify tax-saving opportunities and potential risks that may impact clients.
- Review and Supervision: Review and supervise the work of junior team members, providing guidance and constructive feedback to enhance their professional development.
- Tax Reporting: Assist in the preparation and review of tax reports and computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards.
- Tax Compliance Review: Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with internal procedures and external tax regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax-related workflows.
- Client Engagement: Participate in client meetings and assist in presenting tax advice and recommendations to clients effectively.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, such as tax managers and partners, to deliver high-quality tax services to clients.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and stay abreast of industry trends to enhance personal and professional growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A professional qualification in tax (e.g., CTA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in personal tax compliance and advisory within a practice firm or accounting environment.
- Thorough knowledge of UK tax legislation, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Proactive and self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
