Position: Audit Semi Senior
Location: Croydon, UK

Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting Audit Engagements: Assisting in planning, executing, and completing audit engagements under the guidance of the Audit Manager or Senior Auditor.
  2. Financial Statement Analysis: Reviewing financial statements and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  3. Internal Control Evaluation: Assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and identifying areas for improvement.
  4. Audit Testing: Performing substantive testing and analytical procedures to evaluate the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  5. Audit Documentation: Preparing clear and organized workpapers to support audit findings and conclusions.
  6. Client Communication: Building strong relationships with clients, providing professional and insightful advice, and responding to their queries.
  7. Compliance and Regulation: Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting and auditing standards to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  8. Team Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other team members to achieve audit objectives and deliver exceptional client service.
  9. Professional Development: Participating in training sessions and continuing education programs to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
  10. Process Improvement: Contributing to the enhancement of audit methodologies and processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. At least 2 years of relevant audit experience within an accounting firm or corporate environment.
  3. Progress towards or completion of a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA) is desirable.
  4. Solid understanding of auditing principles, procedures, and standards.
  5. Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building rapport with clients and team members.
  8. Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  9. Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  10. A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn and adapt to changing regulations and industry practices.
