Job Description

With locations in Surrey and London, our client is a driven and expanding group of chartered accountants and professional business advisers. The chance to work with them as an audit supervisor has opened up. The chosen applicant will have ACA/ACCA certification and a wealth of expertise providing external audit and assurance within a UK accounting practise.

The Role:

You will manage and deliver audit engagements from planning to completion in collaboration with audit managers and directors.

  • Serving as the primary point of contact with clients and communicating with them throughout the audit cycle
  • Managing teams through audit engagement planning, fieldwork, and completion.
  • Managing team performance, budget monitoring, and keeping the audit director and partner informed of progress.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members who can provide helpful criticism.
  • Ensuring that engagements are delivered effectively and on time.
  • Maintaining and expanding client connections through textual communication and in-person encounters.
  • Liaise with other departments to efficiently execute assignments while offering value to the demands of clients.
  • Maintaining the firm's processes and technical standards, as well as the ability to answer technical issues competently and confidently.
  • Maintain your technical proficiency in all areas of accounting and auditing standards.
  • To always represent the firm and its interests professionally in contacts with clients and other professionals.
  • Maintain awareness of internal policies, processes, and announcements.
  • Other ad hoc duties as needed by the business.

Qualifications, experience, and skills:

  • Fully qualified ACA or ACCA
  • Experience managing audits is required.
  • Proven experience working under pressure and managing time Demonstrate great verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to form deep bonds with coworkers and clients
  • teamwork and problem-solving abilities
  • Positive and ambitious outlook
  • Experience with the following computer programmes is advantageous but not required: ProAudit, Sage Accounts Production Advanced, Sage Line 50, and Xero
