Job Description
We are seeking a qualified or qualified by experience Audit and Accounts Senior to work in our client's audit department, assisting partners and managers in the performance of statutory audit and accounts preparation services, and managing and allocating work to audit trainees.
They are a well-established firm in the UK that specialises in owner-managed businesses.

The Senior Audit and Accounts tasks will be as follows:

Planning and execution of audit/accounting assignments

Assignments should be planned in collaboration with the client partner or manager.

Lead some of our most important and complicated projects.

During the audit, supervise and evaluate subordinate workers.

Deliver the audit file to the assignment manager or partner as soon as possible.

Manage client interactions effectively.

Proactively monitor your chargeability and assignment budgets.

Coach other employees to increase their performance and technical development.
Experience:

Experience in OMB/SME private firm audits: planning, budget preparation, identifying major risks, developing an audit strategy, and conducting the audit on-site

Analytical review, system and control documentation, sampling procedures

Significant prior experience preparing statutory business accounts in accordance with UK GAAP, as well as knowledge of charities, friendly societies, solicitors, and LLP's IFRS, would be advantageous but not required.

Experience creating and auditing consolidated financial statements

Experience directing teams on-site and analysing their work Leadership experience - expertise developing budgets and monitoring real time versus budget
