Position: Graduate Accountant

Location: Waterloo

Job Summary: As a Graduate Accountant there, you will play a vital role in providing accounting and financial services to their diverse client base. You will work closely with experienced professionals, receive comprehensive training, and have exposure to various aspects of accounting, taxation, and financial advisory services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including maintaining general ledgers and reconciling accounts.
  • Support the audit process by gathering and organizing relevant financial data and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the tax team to ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Analyze financial data and assist in the preparation of management reports.
  • Participate in client meetings and communicate effectively with clients to address their accounting-related inquiries.
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record and a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in accounting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
