Optimize Recruitment is working with a leading engineering and environmental services company to recruit an experienced Construction Site Manager for a major water/wastewater infrastructure project in Co. Mayo.

The project involves heavy civils, deep excavations, temporary works, sheet piling, cofferdams, dewatering, pipework installation and large in-situ concrete water tanks.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, leading site teams and subcontractors while ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Manage all day-to-day construction activities on site
• Lead and coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical and automation subcontractors
• Manage site health, safety, quality and environmental standards
• Coordinate works with the Project Manager and wider project team
• Review RAMS, lift plans and site documentation
• Manage temporary works, sequencing and construction programmes
• Monitor progress, productivity, workmanship and material quality
• Chair site coordination and progress meetings
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports
• Support project handover and snag-free completion

Requirements of the role: 

• Civil Engineering or trade background with progression into site management
• Strong experience managing multi-disciplinary construction projects
• Previous water/wastewater or heavy civils experience highly desirable
• Experience with water treatment infrastructure an advantage
• Strong knowledge of construction H&S requirements
• Excellent communication, planning and site coordination skills
• Full clean driving licence
