Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer

Arklow, Co. Wicklow
70+ Unit Residential Development (Due to commence late October 2026)
18-Month Programme

Optimize Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer to join the site team on a significant residential development in Rosslare, Co. Wexford.

This is an excellent opportunity to become involved in a large-scale housing project from the early stages, offering long-term work on an 18-month programme with a reputable contractor.

Key responsibilities:

Setting out and surveying works across the project
Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with drawings and specifications
Liaising with the Site Manager, subcontractors and design team
Monitoring quality and ensuring compliance with project requirements
Assisting with site records, measurements and documentation
Supporting the delivery of the project on time and within budget

Requirements include:

Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline
Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer on residential, commercial or civil projects
Strong knowledge of GPS, Total Station and surveying equipment
Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Full driving licence
