Production Manager
Location: Co Kilkenny
Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
€70,000 - €80,000 (DoE)

Optimize Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading manufacturing business in Co. Kilkenny in the recruitment of an experienced Production Manager.

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for production performance, people management, planning and continuous improvement within a busy manufacturing environment.

The Role 

• Lead day-to-day production activities and deliver agreed targets.
• Manage, motivate and develop a large-scale production team.
• Plan labour, materials and resources to meet production requirements.
• Monitor output, efficiency, labour hours and production schedules.
• Identify and resolve workflow issues and production bottlenecks.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, procurement and other operational teams.
• Drive Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards across safety, quality and compliance.
• Support training, onboarding and workforce development.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, capacity and overall performance.
• Report on production performance and key KPIs.

The Ideal Candidate 

• 5+ years' experience managing teams within manufacturing, production or a similar environment.
• Strong people leadership skills with proven experience managing, motivating and developing large-scale production teams.
• Proven track record of achieving production and operational targets.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with manufacturing and quality management systems.
• Good technical understanding of manufacturing or construction-related processes.
• Modular, timber-frame or related manufacturing experience is advantageous.
• Relevant production, engineering or management qualification beneficial.
• Lean Six Sigma qualification is advantageous
