Optimize Recruitment is working closely with a leading construction contractor to recruit an experienced Finishing Foreman for a large-scale residential development in Co. Meath.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will assist in the day-to-day running of a residential construction project comprising 90+ units, including houses, duplexes, and apartments. You will manage the finishing stages of the build from 1st Fix through to completion, commissioning, snagging, and handover, ensuring all homes are delivered to the highest quality standards.

You will oversee finishing trades, coordinate subcontractors, manage purchaser snagging, and support the successful delivery of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the completion of residential units from 1st Fix through to client handover.
• Supervise subcontractors and site personnel to ensure programme targets are achieved.
• Coordinate all finishing trades and manage snagging works to the highest standard.
• Monitor quality control procedures and maintain completion records on a unit-by-unit basis.
• Assist with material planning, ordering, delivery checks, and site logistics.
• Ensure effective waste management and housekeeping standards across the site.
• Support cost control by maintaining records of completed works, variations, and additional works.
• Promote and enforce Health & Safety standards, ensuring site compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Maintain site documentation, including inductions, toolbox talks, inspections, and safety records.
• Liaise with the Site Manager, design team, utility providers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Coordinate utility connections including ESB, water, gas, broadband, and public lighting services.
• Review drawings and specifications and develop a strong understanding of project technical requirements and M&E systems.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Finishing Foreman, Foreman, or Senior Site Supervisor on residential developments.
• Strong knowledge of finishing trades, snagging, quality control, and handover processes.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and construction best practice.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
