Project Manager – Fit-Out & Specialist Works
Location: Initial Project near Rathcoole, Co. Dublin (projects nationwide thereafter)
Salary: €82,500 -€97,500 & Package

About the Role

Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee specialist works and fit-out projects across Ireland.

The role will initially focus on an 18-week high-end warehouse project near Rathcoole, involving coordination of specialist packages including fire doors, sprinkler systems, and associated remedial works. Much of the work will be delivered through subcontractors, requiring close coordination with both the main contractor and the client team to ensure works are completed safely, to specification, and within programme.

Following completion of the initial project, the position will transition into a Project Manager role across multiple retail and commercial fit-out projects, typically managing two to three projects simultaneously while leading Site Managers and coordinating subcontractor teams. Projects may vary in location nationwide and may occasionally require overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of specialist works packages on warehouse project
• Coordinate subcontractors delivering fire doors, sprinklers, and remedial works
• Liaise closely with main contractor and client representatives
• Monitor programme to ensure works completed on time
• Ensure high standards of quality, safety, and compliance
• Lead Site Managers across multiple concurrent projects
• Coordinate procurement and subcontractor scheduling across projects
• Provide progress reporting to senior management and client teams
• Resolve site issues and maintain project momentum
• Travel to project locations nationwide as required

Requirements

• Third-level qualification in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline
• Minimum 7+ years’ experience within construction or fit-out project delivery
• Strong background managing subcontractor packages on live projects
• Experience delivering commercial, warehouse, or retail fit-out projects
• SMSTS or CSCS certification required
• Strong communication skills for client and contractor coordination
• Irish or UK project experience highly advantageous
