Electrical Project Manager – Europe (Germany & Netherlands)

Location: Frankfurt (8–9 months), then Netherlands (1 hour from Amsterdam)
Hours: Full-Time, with rotation option
Salary: €100k+ DOE

About the Role

Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, a strong Electrical Contractor, are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead major European projects across Germany and the Netherlands. The initial assignment involves an 8–9 month programme in Frankfurt, followed by a long-term project in the Netherlands within commuting distance of Amsterdam.

These projects include high-spec Data Centres with further opportunities across pharmaceutical and advanced engineering facilities throughout Europe. Accommodation is fully covered, and a vehicle with fuel can be provided. The rotation model is flexible – candidates may remain based on-site full-time or operate on a 10-day on / 4-day off rotation.

The successful candidate will oversee the broader project lifecycle – coordinating stakeholders, reviewing commercial aspects, supporting on-site teams, and ensuring the highest delivery standards. You will join a company known for strong technical capability and a collaborative approach across European operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project delivery across all phases within European Data Centre environments
  • Oversee full electrical scope, ensuring programme, quality, and safety compliance
  • Review commercial elements and support financial planning and reporting
  • Liaise with client teams, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Support experienced Site Managers and Construction Managers where required
  • Coordinate with design, commissioning, and commercial teams
  • Monitor progress and address risks across multidisciplinary workstreams
  • Ensure documentation, compliance standards, and handover processes are met
  • Maintain strong communication channels across local and remote teams
  • Drive continuous improvement and promote efficient project workflows

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
  • 7+ years’ experience delivering large-scale electrical or MEP projects
  • Proven background managing data centre or other high-tech environments
  • Strong understanding of commercial processes and contract management
  • Ability to oversee multi-disciplinary European project teams
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Capability to work on-site full-time or undertake rotation
  • Irish/UK experience highly advantageous
