Accounts Assistant
Hours: 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday - Thursday | 9.00am to 5:00pm Friday
Location: Co. Kilkenny (Inistioge)

A well-established and reputable company based in Co. Kilkenny is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, detail-oriented professional looking to grow their career within a supportive and dynamic environment.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day finance operations. Responsibilities include:

• Managing Accounts Receivable
• Sales invoicing and credit control
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Preparing VAT returns
• Managing VIES / Intrastat submissions
• Assisting with month-end management accounts
• Supporting year-end audit file preparation
• Providing cover across other areas of the finance department
• General finance duties and ad hoc tasks as required

• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• High attention to detail and comfort in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible, proactive, and deadline-driven

Qualifications & Experience

• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar accounts role
• Accounting Technician qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
• Strong IT proficiency, including Sage 50, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
