Management Accountant (Part-time)

• 3 days per week (on-site) – flexible on days of work
• Industry: Agriculture, Farming, Food Production & Processing
• Turnover: c.€4.5m

Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll oversee all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and strategic financial guidance. This is a hands-on leadership role with real impact.

A family run business that has successful developed over the last 20 years, has an opportunity for an experienced Finance Professional to join their team and be part of the next phase in their development.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements; deliver insights to senior management
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting; build financial models; monitor performance
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain robust controls; ensure regulatory compliance; support audits
• Cash Management: Optimise cash flow and liquidity; manage banking relationships
• Financial Analysis: Identify trends, risks, and opportunities; support strategic decisions
• Team Leadership: Recruit and develop your own high-performing finance team
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all stakeholders
• Process Improvement: Drive automation and system upgrades; stay ahead of financial tech trends

Requirements :

• ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent qualification or qualified by experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proven experience in financial leadership roles
• Tech-savvy mindset with a focus on efficiency and innovation
• Excellent attention to detail skills  
• ‘Hands-on’ approach with an interest in all aspects of the business; farming, production, processing to distribution.

Advantageous:

• Good understanding of the Agricultural and / or food sectors
• Knowledge of grant application processes
• Proficient user of Excel,  Sage and Sage Pay roll or similar
