Accounts Assistant 
Hours of Work: 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4.00pm Friday

Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and is confident managing a variety of administrative and finance-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts & Finance Support
• Process and raise customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
• Manage creditor payments and support general bookkeeping activities.
• Liaise with the payroll department to ensure accurate data transfer and reporting.
• Oversee and manage the company purchase order and procurement systems.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve any financial discrepancies.

Administration & Operations
• Handle a wide range of administrative duties to support the accounts and sales functions.
• Liaise with customers, internal branches, and the logistics team to ensure seamless communication.
• Print, coordinate, and distribute delivery dockets and invoices.
• Ensure all data entry is accurate, timely, and maintained to a high standard.
• Address and resolve sales, branch, and logistics queries in a professional manner.
• Maintain organised digital and physical filing systems in line with company procedures.
• Produce production and stock reports when required.

Team Support
• Provide administrative support to the sales team, contributing to improved systems and processes.
• Work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating strong initiative and autonomy.

Skills & Qualifications
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping procedures and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general IT systems.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to maintain detailed records.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Effective time management with the ability to prioritise workload.
• Excellent communication, planning, and customer service skills.
