Quality Operations Manager (FMCG)
Location: Tipperary
Full time / Permanent Role
€60,000 - €80,000 (DoE)

Optimize Recruitment are working with a client in the Southeast to recruit a Quality Operations Manager full time, permanent basis.

The main responsibility is to ensure the optimum performance of the production facility with respect to Food Safety and Food Quality.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Food Safety and Quality. Senior role with a highly competitive salary and benefits package on offer.

Responsibilities:

Supervise the Quality Coordinator and the QA team to ensure all plant output is manufactured to standard.

• Be the major challenging food safety player daily to ensure hygiene standards are maintained.
• Lead and execute plant wide Process and Quality System Improvements.
• Lead the HACCP team to ensure a fully integrated food safety business model drives operations.
• Manage the Risk Assessment Program for raw materials, suppliers, process activities and new process introduction.
• Manage the Quality department to make sure customer specifications/requirements are met. Develop and employ QAS during the NPD process.
• Process a probing and investigative mindset in the investigation of customer complaints. Development and informing of Key Process Indicators for Quality performance.
• Any other quality related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Food science background is key.
• 7+ years relevant experience with a focus on Quality systems management
• Project and people management experience essential.
• Possess an analytical mindset for the purpose of problem solving.
• Must be capable of meeting aggressive goals and objectives.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work in a team environment and deliver results within specified deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
