Site Manager - Pharmaceutical 
Location:
Sligo
Salary: €60,000 – €75,000 + Package (DOE)
Sector: Pharmaceutical Project
Hours: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Site Manager for a high-spec Pharmaceutical project based in Sligo.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established main contractor with a strong project pipeline across the region. The successful candidate will lead all on-site activities, ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily site operations and supervise site teams & subcontractors
  • Ensure all works are completed safely, on time, and to specification
  • Lead and promote high standards of health, safety, and quality
  • Coordinate with the Contracts Manager, Engineers, and QS team on progress and programme
  • Plan and resource site activities in line with project schedules
  • Maintain accurate project and safety documentation
  • Ensure materials and plant are procured efficiently and on time
  • Liaise with client representatives and design teams professionally
  • Monitor quality standards and ensure a snag-free delivery
  • Resolve technical or on-site issues as they arise

Requirements

  • 2–5 years’ experience as a Site Manager on building or industrial projects
  • Relevant qualification in Construction or Project Management (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery within Pharmaceutical or related sectors
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
  • Proven track record of managing subcontractors and trades effectively
  • Proficient in MS Office and scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project)
  • Keen eye for quality and attention to detail
  • Full, clean driver’s licence
  • Irish/UK experience highly advantageous
