Accounts Administrator
Location: Kilkenny 

Salary: €32,000 – €35,000 (DOE)
Hours: 39 hours per week (Mon–Thu 8:00–17:00, Fri 8:00–13:00)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Administrator to join our Finance team. This key position supports the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting and administrative processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a stable, long-term role within a supportive and professional team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and customer payments

  • Reconcile bank statements, creditor, and debtor ledgers

  • Prepare and issue sales invoices, credit notes, and monthly statements

  • Assist with month-end and year-end accounts preparation

  • Maintain accurate and organised financial records and filing systems

  • Process employee expenses and support payroll administration

  • Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to resolve queries

  • Prepare and file VAT returns and assist with other Revenue obligations

  • Provide administrative and reporting support to the finance team as required


About You

You’ll bring a strong understanding of accounting principles, practical experience in Irish finance operations, and a proactive, problem-solving approach.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a finance or accounts administration role in Ireland

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Irish financial regulations

  • Proficiency in Sage 50 (essential)

  • Excellent MS Excel and general IT skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business (e.g. IATI, part-qualified ACCA/ACA)

  • Experience with Revenue Online Service (ROS), VAT returns, and other Irish compliance procedures

  • Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g. Collsoft)
