Project Manager – Aviation (Consultancy)
Location: Dublin (Hybrid Options Available)
Hours: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)
Sector: Consultancy – Aviation & Infrastructure
Salary: €70,000 – €85,000 (DOE)

Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Project Manager to join a leading consultancy in Dublin. This role will be focused on aviation-related projects, with an immediate emphasis on developments at Dublin Airport. The position offers a blend of office, hybrid, and client-facing responsibilities, working within a design-led consultancy environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager to take ownership of high-profile aviation works, working directly with the client, co-ordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and overseeing projects from planning through to handover.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver aviation projects from early design to completion
  • Act as primary client interface, ensuring clear communication and alignment
  • Oversee financial and commercial aspects of project delivery
  • Coordinate and motivate design and engineering teams across disciplines
  • Prepare project documentation including planning, tender, and construction stage reports
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers and graduates
  • Oversee on-site works and ensure adherence to technical specifications
  • Support business development through client relationship management
  • Contribute to tenders, proposals, and wider strategic growth initiatives

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer or Chartered Project Professional status desirable
  • 7+ years’ project management experience, ideally within aviation or large infrastructure – Irish/UK experience highly advantageous
  • Proven track record delivering projects from commencement to handover
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in MS Office and confident with contract administration
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and deliver high standards
  • Flexible to work between office, hybrid, and site settings as required
