Care Home Manager – Mount Carmel Supported Care Home

Mount Carmel Supported Care Home is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly motivated Care Home Manager to lead our dedicated team in delivering exceptional care to residents in a warm, supportive environment. This is a unique opportunity to take charge of a well-established care facility and play a key role in its continued development and success.

About the Role

As Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential care home and adjacent supported living bungalows. You’ll ensure the highest standards of care, compliance, and service delivery while fostering a positive and inclusive culture for residents and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care
• Oversee admissions, care planning, and resident welfare
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, health & safety regulations, and employment law
• Manage budgets, financial records, and fundraising initiatives
• Maintain effective communication with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders
• Support staff development through training, supervision, and performance reviews
• Collaborate with the Board on service planning and future development

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in residential care management or a similar leadership role
• Strong understanding of HIQA regulations and standards
• Relevant qualification, include nursing, social care and community development
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
• Experience in financial oversight and staff supervision
• Commitment to continuous improvement and resident wellbeing
