Dublin City & County
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
€75,000 – €95,000+ (DOE)
Vehicle, Fuel Card, Pension, Laptop & Phone

About the Role

Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking Project Managers to join a long-established civil engineering contractor delivering a variety of large-scale public and private infrastructure projects across Dublin.

The company is engaged in frameworks and standalone contracts across roads, pathways, water and sewer systems, and electrical infrastructure. Several Project Manager positions are available, and successful candidates will be assigned to projects that best align with their expertise, background and desire.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day delivery of civil, water, electrical, and road projects
  • Ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and direct site teams
  • Prepare and review programmes, progress reports, and project documentation
  • Coordinate with design teams, local authorities, and stakeholders
  • Enforce site health & safety, quality assurance, and compliance standards
  • Monitor budgets, costs, and variations alongside the commercial team
  • Chair project meetings and liaise closely with senior management
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to site staff
  • Drive efficiency and maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

  • Third-level qualification in Construction, Civil Engineering, Project Management or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience managing civil engineering or infrastructure projects – Irish & UK experience needed
  • Strong background in one or more of the following: water, electrical, roadworks, or utilities
  • Proven record in delivering projects from inception through to completion
  • Knowledge of contract management, project reporting, and compliance procedures
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Full Irish driver’s licence essential
